Every person tends to think about the representations of beauty from their point of view. Beauty is subjective, and as a rule it is impossible to please absolutely all people, no matter how beautiful you are. From this comes the conclusion that the standards of beauty are never the same.
Of course, there are generally accepted certain features of appearance that are considered as universally beautiful in most people. For example, for women there are large, expressive eyes, a thin nose, plump lips, model body proportions 90:60:90, etc. For men, in turn, there are attractive appearance, wide shoulders, narrow torso.
It is useful to note, that due to numerous experiments conducted by researchers from the Johns Hopkins Carey business school, located in the American Baltimore, it was found that herd instinct can have a great influence on the formation of the same standards. The researchers were sure that if you hear or see that someone thinks someone else is attractive, then you will be more likely to think the same. However, according to research conducted by scientists from Brunel University in London, it was found that preferences still differ greatly. For example, in smaller and more isolated cultures, men with feminine traits are more popular among women than masculine ones.
Not every culture prizes big shoulders in men
Standards of beauty are changing with fashion. In pursuit of the ideals of beauty, people nowadays are increasingly turning to surgical interventions. South Korea, as many people know, is considered as the "capital" of plastic surgery. Making a double eyelid, narrowing the nose by European standards is not considered as something supernatural. The best gift for the coming of an adulthood to a child from parents is considered to be plastic surgery. Being criticized for "ugly" appearance by others, people "repair" themselves. But having performed the operation, they most often still do not come to the desired result, since now criticism is about “unnatural” beauty.
So, if you look from an individual point of view, how many people there are, so many opinions about "own ideals" as well. Because everyone has their own criteria of beauty, and in this regard, it is pointless to adapt to each of them. We are all different and each of us is unique in its own way.
What do you think about it?
Do you agree with Marilyn Monroe's opinion that imperfection is beautiful?

I read this post with such enthusiasm! Nowadays, the topic that you raised is very relevant in our time. Аll people create ideals and strive to be like someone else. Тry, try, try... and at one point they realize that they have already lost their "I"! Thanks for such a useful post! :)
ОтветитьУдалитьYes, and in fact it is very important to remind people of their own individual beauty. These standards, invented by people will always be, and it's not necessary to pay attention to them. But what is really needed is becoming the best version of yourself!
